Links will not open to new window in Carto?

I would like to have my links open in new windows in CartoDB which I thought I had achieved successfully in the past using the following HTML in the infowindow.

This code no longer seems to work on my new maps and even my old maps. Has anyone else encountered this? What HTML do you use to open in new tabs, windows, etc.

I've noticed that when just adding the url field by itself with no HTML formatting it will work in CartoDB editor (even opening in a new window) but is no longer recognized as a URL once embedded.

Below is a sample google street view I would be linking to:,-75.313928,&cbp=11,0,0,0,0

it's a known bug due to some recent changes on the cartodb.js library, it should be solved by now. Sorry for the inconvenience.

People get shingles when the varicella zoster virus, which causes chickenpox, reactivates in their bodies after they have already had chickenpox.

  • You cannot get shingles from someone who has shingles.
  • You can get chickenpox from someone who has shingles if you have never had chickenpox or never received the chickenpox vaccine.

Shingles is caused by varicella zoster virus (VZV), the same virus that causes chickenpox. After a person recovers from chickenpox, the virus stays dormant (inactive) in their body. The virus can reactivate later, causing shingles.

Most people who develop shingles have only one episode during their lifetime. However, you can have shingles more than once.

If you have shingles, direct contact with the fluid from your rash blisters can spread VZV to people who have never had chickenpox or never received the chickenpox vaccine. If they get infected, they will develop chickenpox, not shingles. They could then develop shingles later in life.

The risk of spreading VZV to others is low if you cover the shingles rash. People with shingles cannot spread the virus before their rash blisters appear or after the rash crusts.

People with chickenpox are more likely to spread VZV than people with shingles.

Install free Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on your computer

If you have Acrobat Reader DC or Acrobat DC installed on your computer, skip to the next step.

Acrobat Reader DC is the only free PDF viewer that can open and interact with all types of PDF content – including forms and multimedia.

Go to the Adobe Acrobat Reader download page, and then click Install Now. For step-by-step instructions, see Download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC for Windows or Mac OS.

After the installation is complete, follow the steps in the next section.

Set Acrobat Reader DC or Acrobat DC as the default PDF owner

Your system may not be set up to automatically open PDFs from the desktop with Acrobat Reader DC or Acrobat DC. Here's how to set it up:

Windows users

Right-click the PDF, choose Open With > Choose default program (or Choose another app in Windows 10).

Choose Adobe Acrobat Reader DC or Adobe Acrobat DC in the list of programs, and then do one of the following:

  • (Windows 7 and earlier) Select Always use the selected program to open this kind of file.
  • (Windows 8) Select Use this app for all .pdf files.
  • (Windows 10) Select Always use this app to open .pdf files.

If you have both Adobe Acrobat DC and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC installed on your computer, choose Adobe Acrobat DC.

Mac OS users

Click the PDF file's icon in the Finder to select it.

Choose File > Get Info.

Click the triangle next to Open With, and choose Adobe Acrobat Reader or Adobe Acrobat from the pop-up list (if your preference is not on the list, choose Other to select it).

Ambulances Services Center

  • Updated 12/07/20: CMS is using its statutory authority under section 1135(b)(5) of the Act to modify the data collection and reporting period for ground ambulance organizations that were selected to report in year 1 and year 2 of the Medicare Ground Ambulance Data Collection System. This revised modification has been issued on page 31 in the following document: (PDF).
  • CMS has developed COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) (PDF) on Medicare Fee For Service (FFS) Billing. Ambulance services FAQs begin on page 45.
  • New Medicare Ground Ambulance Data Collection System

Effective January 1, 2020 and continuing through 2024, ground ambulance providers and suppliers that have been selected to participate in the Medicare Ground Ambulance Data Collection System must collect information on cost, utilization, revenue, and other service characteristics in accordance with the Medicare Ground Ambulance Data Collection Instrument for a continuous 12-month period. The information collected will be used to evaluate the extent to which reported costs relate to payment rates under the Medicare Part B Ambulance Fee Schedule (AFS), as well as to collect information on the utilization of capital equipment and ambulance capacity, and the different types of ground ambulance services furnished in different geographic locations, including rural areas and low population density areas (super rural areas). Failure to sufficiently submit the required information will result in a 10 percent reduction to payments under the AFS for one year, unless a hardship exemption has been granted or an informal review has determined that your organization is not subject to the 10 percent reduction to payments.

How does OCW create video and audio lectures?

Video and audio production is one of the most expensive and time-consuming parts of the OCW production process.

To record lectures and other course material, we partner with an MIT media production group. Once this is complete, we review the video content to identify any third-party material (such as music or diagrams that appear in slides) and try to obtain permission from the owner to display the material. In some cases, this is impossible and we have to edit out these sections of the recording.

After a video is edited, we encode it as a H.264 MP4 and link in captions.

If you would like to support MIT OpenCourseWare's video production, please consider making a donation.

About the Book

Information Systems: A Manager's Guide to Harnessing Technology is intended for use in undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Management Information Systems and Information Technology.

The teaching approach in Information Systems: A Manager's Guide to Harnessing Technology can change this. The text offers a proven approach that has garnered student praise, increased IS enrollment, and engaged students to think deeper and more practically about the space where business and technology meet. Every topic is related to specific business examples, so students gain an immediate appreciation of its importance. Rather than lead with technical topics, the book starts with strategic thinking, focusing on big-picture issues that have confounded experts but will engage students. And while chapters introduce concepts, cases on approachable, exciting firms across industries further challenge students to apply what they've learned, asking questions like:

Why was Netflix able to repel Blockbuster and WalMart? How did Harrah's Casino's become twice as profitable as comparably-sized Caesar's, enabling the former to acquire the latter? How does Spain's fashion giant Zara, a firm that shuns the sort of offshore manufacturing used by every other popular clothing chain, offer cheap fashions that fly off the shelves, all while achieving growth rates and profit margins that put Gap to shame? Why do technology markets often evolve into winner-take-all or winner take-most scenarios? And how can managers compete when these dynamics are present? Why is Google more profitable than Disney? How much is Facebook really worth?

The teaching approach in this text encourages students to think deeper and more practically about the space where business and technology meet. Every topic is related to specific business examples, so students gain an immediate appreciation of its importance. Rather than starting with technical topics, the book starts with strategic thinking, focusing on big-picture issues that interest students.
